Catechists are members of the parish community who have shown a special interest in teaching children the Catholic faith and Christian values. The Director of Religious Education works closely with the Catechists, provides necessary training and assists in any needs that arise.

The Catechists are prayerful, faith-filled, active members of the church community who strive to grow in their own personal relationship with God and are willing to help nurture the faith life of the children in our parish family.

The Office of Faith Formation provides for the ongoing religious education for adults and children at our parish. We provide bible studies, catechetical classes, classes on understanding the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and introductions to various forms of prayer. Adult faith formation includes Scripture studies, studying the Fathers of the Church, moral theology, spirituality, and understanding the Creed of the Catholic Church. Our children’s faith formation takes place in Catholic school, and here at the parish through catechism classes known as the Conformity of Christian Doctrine (CCD), which is the preparation of Catholic children who have been baptized but have not yet received first Holy Communion or Confirmation. Our ministry assists young people, to give them a deeper relationship with Christ so they might be able to receive the sacrament of Penance, the sacrament of first Holy Communion, and continue to grow into their knowledge of Christ until they are fully initiated with the sacrament of Confirmation.
