VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • CHIPS (Community Help in Park Slope): Did you know that CHIPS was founded in 1971 by members of St. Francis Xavier who were inspired by the Good Samaritan story, as well as the spirit of the Vatican II council? In addition to feeding hungry people every day since then, CHIPS also now provides temporary housing for single mothers and their children at the Frances residence. Volunteer or donate. Go to chipsonline.org for more info.

  • Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens has many volunteer opportunities. For info: ccbq.org/volunteer/

  • St Vincent De Paul Society: We are very grateful to those who donate and support us. In order for St. Vincent de Paul to continue providing assistance to our neighbors, the ministry is in need of volunteers and most of all recuring monetary donations. Checks can be made out to St. Francis Xavier/Conf. of St. Vincent de Paul. To make monetary donation on line, please visit: https://www.givecentral.org/location/725/event/28945.
